The annual Helsinki Motor Show was held again in the Helsinki Fair Center. As has now been usual in recent years, it presented new road car models from the main constructors in the world. The show, which in its first years concentrated mainly on motor sports, again had also some motor sport releated stuff at present. Being a motor sport specialist site, Racing Images mainly concentrated on motor sport subject.

One of the noticible cars was the all conquering Audi R8 prototype, which has won the Le Mans and ALMS titles in the last two years. The car at the show was the number 2 from 2000's race driven by Allan McNish, Laurent Aiello and Stephane Ortelli. Also Williams' and BARs' F1 cars were at display. However, these cars were actually last year's models only painted in this year's colourschemes.

Some drivers were also present at the show. On Friday we spotted Peugeot WRC driver Harri Rovanperä, FIA GT driver Markus Palttala and Indianapolis 500 starter Tero Palmroth, who also was there with his old car from the 1991 event.

In the following pictures you will see the main attractions from the motor sport side of the show. Some other picture material is also included.
